A correspondent writing to the Citizen from Mammoth mine under date of July 24th says: This camp was the scene of a frightful accident yesterday. Mrs Clayschulze, wife of John Clayschulze, was endeavoring to light a fire with a gallon can of oil, with the usual result. She and her little girl, aged seven, were horribly burned. The girl died last night and the woman is in a precarious condition. One small house was destroyed, the prompt exertions of the populace preventing the fire from doing further damage.
