TO THE EDITOR:

I am glad to see the United Labor Committee getting off to an early start and earnestly urge every union member to dig down for a dollar and be a member. Those who think that we finished with politics last November should pick up any day's newspaper and learn that this battle is never over.

Those who join, should attend meetings when candidates are being proposed for endorsement, especially in the primaries.

I warned through these pages that the candidates endorsed for the general elections would do us no good in City Council and we should have nothing to do with them.

It would take much research to find a worse Council in the history of Toledo.

Not one of them deserves the consideration of anyone except the Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.

Wasteful with the taxpayers money, ever-ready to gouge another dime from you, giving free reign to the public utilities, ever-alert to raise fees, forbidding the police to pick you up at the scene of an accident, never hire anyone or buy anything in Toledo that they can .get elsewhere, and since about all Council does is pass the buck to Rink and vice versa while loudly proclaiming how righteous and hardworking they are, let us ease their burdens. My fellow Union members of Toledo, join United Labor Committee for $1.00 and help turn all the rascals out.
