We regret to announce the withdrawal from to-day's paper, of the advertisement of the Washington Female Seminary. Prof. Slack has accepted the call of the Trustees of the Female Institute at Minden, La., and is now preparing to remove and enter upon the duties of his new position. Our best wishes are with Prof. S. in his new home; and although it is a subject of general regret to our community, that he has thought proper to leave us, we bespeak for him among the people with whom his future lot may be cast, that consideration and regard to which his talents and worth justly entitle him, and which they ought to command.
