Primary - 1st, 2nd & 3d
In the primary room there are six first grade pupils, nine second grade pupils and six third grade pupils, making a total of 21 in the room.
Susanne Krezelok was absent Friday day.
The first grade has begun to read in the books about Mac and Muff; the second grade has begun to read the book "Along the Way"; and the third grade has begun reading "Far away Ports".
The new workbooks that arrived for the first three grades will keep us busy throughout the year.
Mrs Irene Ulvick is teaching the primary room this year.

Intermediate-4th 5th 6th
The intermediate room has six pupils in the fourth grade; six the fifth grade, and six in the sixth grade, a total of 18 for the room.
The fourth, fifth and sixth grades organized a club in their room and have elected the following officers;
President, Anita McCallum, vice president, Samuel Roosma; secretary, Kenney Sweeney; playground patrol, Danny Ulvick and Nancy Collins; fire patrol, Mike Gray and Kenny Sweeney.
Elizabeth Howser brought a bouquet of flowers for the room.
Mrs Myron Cobban is the intermediate teacher.

Junior High School
There are nine pupils in the room; three in the eighth grade and six in the seventh.
We have been furnished with many new books, so we should enjoy our work this year.
On Friday, Sept. 5, all the school children were measured and weighed. They were also given a preliminary eye check.
Volleyball and baseball seem to be the favorite games so far.
Friday morning the upper and intermediate grades joined in singing some familiar songs. All enjoyed this so we will do it often.

Lunch Room News
This year the cooks are serving milk in glasses from the new milk dispenser. Mrs Ward donated 11 pounds of cabbage and 1 gal of strawberries; Della Sampson donated 1 pound of onions and 2 pounds of apples: Mrs Martin donated 15 pounds cabbage, 12 pounds cucumbers and 1 gallon lime pickles. Mrs Ward and Mrs Martin donated the cucumbers for the cooks to put up.
The cooks put up 12 gallons of dill pickles.
Three cases of cheese were received from the USDA.
The menu for September 12:
Mashed potatoes, fried hamburgers. Hot buns and jelly, dill pickles, milk and for dessert delicious strawberry shortcake.

The janitor this year is Robert Gray and he has been kept busy repairing seats. windows and getting school in shape for winter.
The junior high is planning to have a basketball team this year.
Our teacher and some of the men from Lonepine volunteered to help us.
