INCORPORATE FOR SECURING STATEHOOD

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Jan. 5. "Statehood for Alaska" was incorporated here yesterday when seven Anchorage men formed a non-profit organization to promote the Territory into becoming the 49th state of the Union.

The newly-formed organization invited the membership of all Alaskans and was incorporated by Dr. Harold Sogn, A. A. Shonbeck, old-time gold mine operator; Arthur G. Woodley, airways official; Z. J. Loussac, retired druggist; John E. Manders, attorney; Edward Coffey, territorial senator; and Robert B. Atwood, publisher of the Anchorage Times.
