TRYING TO AVOID WAGON
Two Injured Taken to Hospital From Where They are Later Discharged
Two were injured when an automobile from New York skidded and turned on its side throwing out the three occupants of the machine in the Amboy-Keyport turnpike, near Seidler's beach yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Sarah Hunt, of 117th street, New York city was badly lacerated about the face and other parts of the body.
Mrs. Walter Watts of the Bronx, received minor lacerations about the body.
The other occupant, driver and owner of the car, Dr. A. T. Goldwater of the Bronx, was uninjured.
The car plowed down part of the railing over a small bridge, which it was about to pass. The machine was too damaged to resume travel, so a car was ordered from Frank VanSyckle's garage. The injured persons were taken to the city hospital here, from which institution they were discharged a few hours later.
The party were on their way to Asbury Park about 3 o'clock when near a small bridge in the vicinity of Seidler's Beach, a wagon approached from the opposite direction.
Dr. Goldwater tried to steer the car to the right to avoid the vehicle. Just as he was about to cross the bridge the car skidded crowding against the railing and turning on its side. The railing was broken down and the occupants of the car thrown out. The two injured were attended at the hospital by Dr. J. L. Lund.
