Condition of Mexico.—We present the following general sketch of affairs in Mexico at the latest dates. (viz. from the Capital, 27th Oct. from Vera Cruz November 1st.) The facts are derived from the Registro Official, the Faro and Censor. Private letters from persons of great credit, corroborate the statements they contain, and concur in representing the state of the country as very critical.

In consequence of Gen. Guerrero's having established a government in the state of Valladolid, with 2000 men under the command of Cadallos, on the 25th of September, a peremptory order was issued to Gen. Barragan, who was at Jalisco, that he should march as soon as possible to that state, with authority to draw for as much money as he might think necessary to effect the object with all celerity. While he was going into the state of Valladolid, the troops of Gen. Alvarez, in the state of Mexico, summoned Armijo to surrender, who was in command of the troops of Bustamente, in the town of Texca. Armijo had gone to that place to destroy the partizans of Guerrero in the south: but now found himself under the necessity of defending himself, although he had only 1500 men, and such aid as the government had been able to furnish him. The attack begun on the 25th of September, and on the 30th the whole division of Armijo was obliged to surrender at discretion. Gen. Armijo himself did not escape, although he took to flight before his troops had surrendered; but he was taken prisoner, and executed by the victorious soldiers.

In the state of Mexico, and the district of Tasco, Juan Cruz is fighting in favor of Guerrero, with 1000 men; and he has occupied the points of Tezupam, Zozulapam and Sultepec, and was proceeding for Tasco, according to the Registro Official, the government paper. In that paper was published, on the 1st of October, a letter from the Commandant Inclan, stating that the Chief Mongoy was at Chiripitiro, (in the state of Valladolid,) with about 1000 men, in favor of Guerrero.

In the state of Oaxaca, Juan Bruno and Santa Maria had fought with the government troops several times, in Guerrero's favor. The force is not stated.

The states of Guadalajara, Colima, Valladolid, Puebla and Oaxaca were thus scattered with troops of both parties, between which blood was daily shed.

The Convoy has been robbed, by a party of 25 or 30 men, soon after leaving Jalapa for Vera Cruz. $7,500 was taken from it, which was 2 1-2 per cent, of the whole.—Daily Adv.
