CHEST SHORT $200,000

Dade County's 1957 Community Chest campaign fell over $200,000 short of its $1,529,000 goal as time ran out in the first two weeks campaign ever attempted in greater Miami.

While John R. Ring said the total wasn't reached, he announced an extension of the drive to allow volunteers in every neighborhood to finish their important block work to put the Chest over the top for the 7th straight year.

Workers in the house to house group will meet on Friday, Jan. 25, to report completion of their regions. If you have not given to the Community Chest campaign, you can do so by mailing your contribution direct to Chest headquarters, 395 NW 1st St., Miami, Fla.
