Solowey inquired, "What case are we checking into?"

"The People of the State of New York versus Frankie Hughes. Armed robbery and second-degree murder conviction that got Hughes sentenced to sixty years."

Devereaux eased the Buick to the curb. "Frankie Hughes was the only casualty in the Big House during Longo's stay there. Hughes suffered a dizzy spell while under a hot shower. He was scalded to death."

Solowey wagged a rebuking finger. "Thoroughness, bah. You are letting your passion for the smallest details lead you around by the nose."
