NEW YORK. AUG. 26.

Providential Escape - A lad aged thirteen years, a short time since, at Pittstown, fell from the mill window into the flume, where the water was five feet, and the mill in operation. The suction of the water carried him feet forwards through the funnel that conveys the water to the tub-wheel, on which he lodged four minutes, the wheel going round 50 times a minute, without having any of his bones broken--his left arm below the elbow was dislocated.-- When taken from the wheel he fainted several times, but is since restored to health.
