C. A. James Takes Month Leave From His Duties With City Water Force

Charles Alfred James, foreman of the city water department is preparing to enjoy a full month leave of absence from his duties here. He will start his vacation with the end of this week and plans to go to Texas to visit relatives and to get a long rest.

Mr. James was seriously ill for a long time last winter and is looking forward to getting a much needed rest and regaining his full strength and health again. Mr. James is the man who has charge of the crew that reads the water meters every month and who digs up the streets when there is a leak in the city mains. Recently he has been directing the work of construction on the new football field and cinder track at Fifteenth street park.
