After congratulating you on the glorious News from Scotland, I must acquaint you, that we have here 300 French Picquets Prisoners in our Moot Hall: The Officers amongst them, with whom I have been in Company, commend in a most extraordinary Manner the Conduct of our darling Duke, and the Bravery of his Troops; they acknowledged they never heard a brisker Fire, and that it recall'd to their Remembrance, the bold Attack they made at Fontenoy. We had the greatest Rejoicings you ever saw or heard of, and are now preparing to repeat them upon the Return of our brave and glorious Duke.
