Full Text

Extract of a Letter from Madrid, August 21.

THE Dispatches which our Court and Mr. Keene, the British Minister, sent to London ten Days ago, contain some Propositions which are to be laid down as the Basis of the Negotiations that are to be set on Foot for bringing about an Accommodation between this Nation and Great-Britain. We are assured, that a Courier who arrived from London a few Days ago, likewise brought Proposals from that Court; since which it has been observed, that Conferences are very frequent at the Palace, and that the British Minister often sits in them; from which we infer, that they labour seriously to bring about an Accommodation.
