Caesar And Cleopatra To Be NBC Presentation

Broadcast from New York City, while the big city production of the play is bowing on Famous Broadway. This opportunity for citizens of Atlanta when the touring company comes through Morehouse College Chapel. The play, written by one of the best known of the modern authors, George Bernard Shaw, is currently playing on Broadway. The cast are seasoned players who are capable of giving a polished performance to this comedy which has been hailed by critics and the public as the most outstanding play to reach Broadway this season.

Cleopatra is delightfully played by Esther Trynin, who was seen recently in My Dear Children, opposite John Carradine, and on the television serial I Remember Mama, with Peggy Wood.

The burlesque of an esthete, Apollodorus, is amusingly played by Douglas Taylor, who recently appeared in Dark Eyes with Uta Hagen, star of A Streetcar Named Desire.

These are just two of the persons who will appear in Caesar and Cleopatra. The Touring Player Inc. is an outstanding company of professional actors who are now completing their fifth tour of twenty states presenting plays of popular as well as educational appeal. This is the only production of the popular Bernard Shaw comedy to be seen outside of New York this year.

There will be two performances - matinee on Saturday at 2:30, primarily for students, and an evening performance at 8 on Sunday. This is a rare opportunity and one you cannot afford to miss. Tickets are available at the College. Seats will be reserved for those who purchase tickets before Thursday, Feb. 9, 1950. All tickets for the evening performance are one dollar. For the matinee students may obtain tickets for fifty cents.
