NEW JACKSONVILLE CHURCH.
Former Chancellor Boggs Is Building One in Florida.

Jacksonville, Fla., Feb. 4.-The Rev. William E. Boggs, former chancellor of the University of Georgia, is now engaged in the work of directing the building of a new church edifice for the First Presbyterian church here, of which he is pastor.

The old church building was destroyed in the big fire last year and Dr. Boggs at once went to work to secure the money with which to replace it. He was very successful, and the new building will cost about $35,000.

This church when completed will be one of the finest in Florida. It will be of stone and the side walls are already up about 12 feet. The cornerstone of the new edifice was laid a few days since.

Dr. Boggs since coming here has given eminent satisfaction and is greatly beloved by the people of this city.
