The New Bridge.—The new suspension bridge is going forward as rapidly as the weather will permit. Mr. McComas, the Engineer and superintendent of the structure, hopes, with the aid of good weather, to have it completed by Christmas. Should bad weather intervene its completion will be delayed until early next Spring and the old bridge will be permitted to stand until that time. The wire in one of the cables which is to support the new bridge if stretched out, would measure one thousand seven hundred and forty miles.
