Important from Spain. A very extensive and dangerous conspiracy among the Carlists, was detected on the 16th of Jan. and that many distinguished persons had been arrested and imprisoned. It was understood to be the design of the conspirators to assassinate the Queen and other members of the Royal family. The Queen immediately dismissed all the members of the Cabinet, except Zareo del Valle of the War department. Martinez de la Rosa is appointed Prime Minister; Gazeli, minister of Justice, Arnulde of Finance, and Vazquez of War. All the new ministry are members of the Liberal party.

Nearly all the captains general of the provinces had addressed memorials to the Queen, demanding the establishment of a representative system of government. The constitutional exiles were generally returning.
