COLUMBIA, Oct. 5. Mr. Frank H. Weston, of Marshall & Weston, went to-day to Trenton, N. J., to take the necessary legal steps for the collection of the interest in the estate of the late Samuel Pope, of that city, held by Mrs. W. H. Dorsett, of Columbia. It will be remembered that Mr. Dorsett, was an engineer on the Columbia and Greenville Railroad when the death of his wife's cousin, Mr. Pope, made a great change in the prospects of the couple. The legacy left Mrs. Dorsett amounts to $15,000, and there is a large contingent interest which will probably yield as much more. Mr. and Mrs. Dorsett are now at Paterson, N. J. Mr. Weston does not anticipate any legal difficulties in the settlement of the estate, and will probably return within ten days. He is accompanied as far as Philadelphia by Dr. F. W. Ray, who goes North on professional business.
