A procession formed at 10 A. M. on the Boscawen side of the river, including Pioneer Engine Co. No. 8, Torrent Engine Co. No. 1, officers, speakers, distinguished guests, three Sabbath Schools, operatives from factories and mills, and citizens, in charge of Col. A. Rolfe, assisted by T. O. Wilson and Charles W. Hardy, marched through principal streets to Gage's Grove for exercises: prayer by Rev. Mr. Jewett, remarks by N. Butler, Esq., reading of Declaration by Rev. Mr. Smith, address by Rev. Mr. Kenney, singing, closing with benediction at two o'clock; followed by Ladies' Levee in Graphic Hall for the public library; music by Abbott's Drum Corps.
