OLNEYVILLE.

Frank Gorman, one of the best known grocery men in this place, had a very narrow escape from being killed by a vicious horse yesterday.

Mr. Gorman went into the stall, and as he did so the horse, which is known as a "green one," began to bite and kick and in some way Mr. Gorman found himself in the manger of the stall, having been kicked there by the infuriated animal.

Then the horse began to bite Mr. Gorman and although he was in a weak condition he managed to muster strength enough to catch the horse by the nose, and in some way succeeded in throwing it to the floor of the stall, and as soon as he had done this he climbed through the opening used for putting down hay to the horse to the floor above.

He was taken to his home, 141 Delaine street, in an exhausted condition. How he escaped death seems a miracle for his clothing was kicked to shreds, but the attending physician says that no bones were broken.

The horse is owned by Corcoran, the well known Westminster street grocer, and the location was in a barn on Howard street.
