Letter from Deal, January 10.

YESTERDAY I arrived in one of the Packets from a French Prison: and the Day before I left Havre de Grace there was brought in there six Sail of English Vessels, taken off the Start by the Othello Privateer of St. Maloes. She was a Dogger, mounted ten carriage Guns, and ten Swivels; and carried 100 Men; ... two Vessels, bound to Seville, took to their close Quarters, and after an obstinate Engagement, with the loss of one of the Masters, the other being much wounded, with several of their Hands, was obliged to surrender, and share the same Fate with their Companions:
