Full Text
The Anti-Masonic Sect.--The Boston Centinel, in some remarks upon Anti-masonry in Massachusetts, has the following. It will suit other meridians, with equal truth: 'It is very certain that the Anti-Masons are a very lean minority in this State, and that, of themselves, they can effect nothing.--One would have supposed that the overwhelming majority by which they were voted down last year, would have prevented their urging a distinct ticket on the present occasion. But their leaders are determined to hazard the dearest interests of the country, for the sake of keeping up their party forms, and the only effect is to weaken the opposition to the election of Jackson without the least chance of electing their own candidate:'
