IRELAND ARMING

BOXES OF ARMS SEIZED BY THE PEASANTS IN LIMERICK AND CARDAL.

DUBLIN, Nov. 18.—It is now quite evident that the peasantry throughout the country are arming and only waiting for a favorable opportunity to resist the imposition placed on them by the Government. Alarming rumors are continually pouring in from all parts of the island. A dispatch from Craughwell states that a box containing six rifles, belonging to a merchant of Loughrea, arrived from Limerick on Tuesday night. On the same night, according to a despatch from Tralee, a party of men with blacked faces and long beards, visited houses at Cardal, near Castle Island, taking guns wherever they found them.
