THE NEW CRUSADE.

Knights of the different Orders, and the persons who have subscribed their names to contribute towards the formation of the funds necessary to abolish the trade in white and black slaves in the north of Africa, a trade still carried on, contrary to religion, humanity, and the honor of Christianity, are informed that the President of the Association, will have the honor to make his annual report on the progress made towards the attainment of the end proposed—he will explain to them, at the same time, the State of the Funds given in trust to his management for this service, by the Sovereigns and other illustrious subscribers, and will submit to them the documents on which the report is founded.

The first report will be presented at Paris, at a time and place to be specified, when His Most Christian Majesty, who has deigned to subscribe as Grand Master of the Order of St. Louis, shall have made known his pleasure on this head.
