Full Text

Dublin, Sept. 17. The Associations began and Signed by the Nobility, Gentry, and Inhabitants of the North, have had so good an Effect, that the same is doing in all other Parts of the Kingdom: wherein they express their Duty, Loyalty and Affection to his Majesty's Royal Person, Family, and Government; that they will stand by him on all Occasions; and oppose all his Enemies whatever; for which the following Form is recommended

WE whose Names are hereunto subscribed, being to the Publick: faithful Subjects of his Majesty King GEORGE II. and having the utmost Abhorrence of, and Indignation against, that audacious and unnatural Rebellion, now attempted, in favour of a Popish Pretender, at the Intriguing, and by the Assistance of France, our most inveterate and dangerous Enemy, do hereby, in the Presence of God, solemnly promise and engage to our King, and to one another, that we will, to the utmost of our Power, and at the Hazard of our Lives and Fortunes, defend his Majesty's Person and Government, against that wicked Attempt, and all other Attempts of his Enemies. And we do exhort and beseech our Protestant Fellow Subjects, to call to mind the Persecutions and horrid Massacres of the Church of Rome; and to associate and unite together, with all their Might, in Defence of our King and Constitution, our Commerce, our Religion, our Properties, our Lives and Liberties, against Popery and Arbitrary Power; against the unbounded Ambition of France, and the Bloody Tyranny of Rome; against the Tool of France, the Pretender, his Traiterous Adherents and Perficious Abettors: With an humble Confidence in God, the Author of our Holy Religion, that he will preserve his Church, and the Protestant Succession in his Majesty's Illustrious House, against all the Devices of their Enemies; and rejoicing to be the Instruments of his Almighty Hand, in so glorious a Cause.
