Bourbon Senator Renews Fight on H. E. Dean by Resolution to Governor.
Senator J. M. Davis of Bourbon renewed his fight on Secretary H. E. Dean of the Panama-Pacific exposition commission today by introducing a resolution demanding of the governor information as to whether any steps had been taken to recover the salary which Dean has been paid by order of the commission but without authority of law. The senate laid the resolution over for subsequent consideration and will have it printed.
In spite of Davis's announced intention to keep the exposition appropriation bill at the foot of the calendar until the resignation of Dean had been forced to an issue, the appropriation bill was today called up and is made a special order for Saturday morning. The Davis resolution was introduced in the face of the senate's action leaving the adjustment of the Panama commission salary squabble in the hands of the governor and the commission members.
