The initial P. T. A. meeting of the John P. Whittaker School was held Tuesday, Sept. 18 in the school auditorium at 7:30 p. m. with a very large attendance. Two new teachers were introduced - Miss Ruby L. Hagans, third grade and Mrs. Blanche H. Johnson, first grade teacher.

New officers and grade sponsors for the ensuing year were elected. They are: President - Mrs. Mattie Bibbs. Vice President - Mrs. Hattie Dupree. Secretary - Mrs. Azalee Hester, Vice Secretary - Mrs. Nossie L. Pagan, Treasurer - Mrs. Marie Harris, Chaplain - Mrs. Alberta Walker and Reporter - Mr. H. C. Wardlaw.

Grade Sponsors: Mrs. Birta Ramey, Mrs. Annie Giles. Mrs. Edith Gaither. Mrs. Helen Johnson, Mrs. Bessie Dewberry. Mrs. Beatrice Stiggers, Mrs. Minnie Jackson. Mrs. Beatrice Campbell, Mrs. Jessie B.
