300 FOREIGN BORN RAIDED AND HELD Government Attack on All Workers

NEW YORK, Jan. 25. — Carrying out their threat to attack the foreign-born, federal immigration authorities raided the Hoboken waterfront and arrested 300 foreign-born workers.

While no specific charge was placed against them the immigration officers state that it was the first of such a series of raids to deport "undesirable" foreign-born workers.

That the attack is mainly directed against active Communists was indicated in the Fish report. Fifty-eight workers are now held for preliminary hearing for deportation.

The fight for the protection of foreign-born must be spurred. A united front of native and foreign-born workers is necessary to smash this new terror drive against the workers.
