While the weather was not exactly conducive to flower and garden talk, nevertheless a small coterie of enthusiastic outdoor lovers gathered in the Chamber of Commerce last night to discuss children's gardens.
Prior to the discussion, E. G. Wanner, secretary of the Flower and Garden club, gave a short talk on 'Gladioli.' In his talk, Mr. Wanner told about the proper planting time, how they should be set out, and the care that must be exercised in raising them.
It was announced that preliminary steps towards the staging of the annual flower shows would be taken at the next meeting of the club on Thursday night, April 26.
Several new members were welcomed into club membership and a general invitation was issued to any man or woman interested in flowers and gardens to become members of the club.
