Cassius Cafe & Bar, now located at 207 South Third St., will move this summer to 318 South Third Street.

Anthony B. Cassius, owner and proprietor of the cafe and bar, said he plans to make the change on or about July 1.

action without a dissenting vote.

The present location of the establishment is in the Lower Loop Redevelopment area and slated to be torn down when new construction begins. Cassius said he was "extremely worried" when he learned he would have to move, since he has a large financial investment in the business.

"For a while it looked as though I'd have to go out of business," the cafe owner said.

"I had difficulty finding a suitable downtown location and also the problem of transferring my liquor license." He said that Alderman Christensen was very cooperative and helpful in the matter.

Announcement of the grand opening in new location will be made in the near future, Cassius said.
