An important development has citation.

Greeted in the controversy regarding the route of the ocean to ocean highway. At the direction of Congress, the secretary of the interior has had prepared an estimate of the cost of building a bridge across the Colorado river at Yuma. This estimate has been presented to both houses, ordered printed and referred to committees.

If the bridge is built it means that the national highway will be built through Arizona along the central route, chosen by the Arizona delegation at the meeting which organized the Ocean-to-Ocean Highway association.

With a substantial bridge across the Colorado at Yuma, there will no longer be any controversy regarding which way the highway shall be built.
