LIFE IN THIS OUR TOWN

Antoinette Gridley Holway Preu, who came to Wethersfield as a girl of 15 and lived here for many years, writes in to say that the picture of the Old Academy on the back of Tally (October issue) brought back "Memories, Memories, Dear Old Memories."

"We used to have dances there upstairs; just Wethersfield young people; we all knew each other," she recalls.

The floor was ideal for dancing, she adds, and wonders if any Tally readers remember the song "Memories, Memories, Dear Old Memories." She would like to see it reprinted in Tally.

(Wonder if Petrillo controls that, too?)
