Shot a Burglar,
Pittsburg, Pa., June 16.--John S. Wagener, a grocer, of Ben Avon borough, early this morning was awakened by three men who were trying to force an entrance by a side door. Seizing a double-barreled shotgun he noiselessly made his way to an open window, which commanded a view of where the men were working. Pushing the muzzle of the gun through the window, Wagener asked: "Who's there and what do you want?'' Getting no reply Wagener fired. There was a howl of pain from one of the men, who was assisted away by his two companions. An hour later the injured man was found about 200 feet from the scene, with his face and neck full of shot and both eyes shot out.
