Big Meeting of Candidates To Be Held at the Court House.
The Lawrence County Democrats plan to open their headquarters as well as the campaign in a big way on Saturday, October 1st. Chairman Louis E. Halley, of the Executive Committee, has set the date, the hour and place to be announced later, but more than likely it will be at the court house. The purpose of the meeting is to get all the county workers together with the candidates. Each county candidate will be given an opportunity to speak, and plans will be outlined for a big drive for votes. Election day comes on November 8th, and with the campaign opening on October 1st, the workers will have five weeks for real honest-to-goodness campaigning.
The committee have not yet announced where the campaign headquarters will be opened, but more than likely the room on Third and Park Ave., in the Marlow theatre building will be the location.
