CENSUS OF NORTH CAROLINA:

The Census has been completed, and the following appears as the result:

Congressional Election—In the Raleigh district, Josiah Crudup is elected by a majority of 1139 votes, over John Scott. Mr. Sawyer is re-elected by a majority of 176 over Mr. Iredell: and a majority in the district, of 1151--In the following districts the gentlemen respectively named have been elected without opposition, viz. W. N. Edwards for Halifax: E. G. Barton for Hertford: D. Hall for Iredell: R. M Saunders for Caswell: Lewis Williams for Surry--In the Newbern district Mr. W. S. Blackledge has succeeded against Mr. Dew.--From the Fayetteville, Wilmington, Mecklenburg, Salisbury, Morganton, or Edenton districts, no returns have come to hand.
