Last Week we had an article about the American melting pot and the proposal to throw the Negro race into this melting pot with the white race.

Now, the NAACP and its spokesmen have been honest from the beginning about its purpose.

They have stated on every occasion that they were after destroying segregation in all phases of American life.

They are out to do away with the laws preventing the intermarriage of whites and Negroes. They are out to promote the intermarriage of whites and Negroes.

They have frankly stated that this mixing should begin in the public schools. They have frankly stated that it is impossible to do anything with old mossbacks. They are of the opinion that they must begin with children of a tender age. They believe that if they are mixed in the same classrooms, take part in the same games, attend the same social functions and are taught to date and love one another, that interracial marriages will follow.

This is the backdoor by which they hope the Negro will sneak into the melting pot.

Now, these mentally dishonest hypocrites, like Ralph McGill, deny this to be the purpose of the NAACP. He says all they are after is just a little "token" integration into the schools to satisfy the Negro's craving for dignity.

It follows that if it is necessary to give one Negro a sense of dignity, that all other Negroes are entitled to the same thing.

But you shouldn't read what Ralph writes to find out what the Negroes are thinking. You should read the speeches of Thurgood Marshall, and Roy Wilkins, the top spokesmen for the NAACP, and the PITTSBURGH COURIER, the leading daily Negro newspaper in the world and the one which more nearly speaks for the NAACP than any other.

Last week we quoted from an article appearing in THE PITTSBURGH COURIER.

Here are two paragraphs from that quote:

"Every community worth its salt should have a frankly interracial club or association where the boys and gals, colored and white, could associate, drink and dance.

"Indeed the N. A. A. C. P. could increase membership to a couple million if it adopted such a program, it might even change its name to the National Association for the Multiplication of Colored People-N. A. M. C. P.!"

And then there is another paragraph from the article which we quoted which is very significant.

"Of course we favor racial mixing, including marriage, and are working openly to kill all racially restrictive legislation and social segregation and discrimination.

So there is THE PITTSBURGH COURIER to give the lie to the hypocrites! moderates such as Mr. McGill.

Now, they talk about an NAACP—National Association for the Multiplication of Colored People. That's what the NAACP should be called.

Now, how are you going to multiply the colored people?

The colored people are multiplying now by interbreeding among themselves and it seems to me that THE PITTSBURGH COURIER would like to increase the rate of this multiplication by starting the Negroes to interbreeding with the whites.

That's exactly what they are after. That's the whole story and anyone who denies it is a mentally dishonest hypocrite.

Now, last week we pointed out a good example of the results of the interbreeding of the races. We pointed to the record being made by the Puerto Ricans in New York today.

The Puerto Ricans are a mongrel race and they are living like mongrels today.

This is what the race mixers would bring about all over this country. They would create a mongrel race.

No good dog-lover would even treat his dog that way. They look after and care for their pure-bred dogs, but they kick the mongrels around.

No one respects a mongrel dog.

The same laws of nature, which apply to mongrel dogs, apply to mongrel races.

As we ride over this country and see the beautiful green pastures and the fine herds of cattle grazing in those pastures, we see the fine handiwork of nature.

In some pastures, we find pure-bred white face Herefords; in others we find pure-bred Black Angus; in some we find pure-bred Jerseys and in others we find pure-bred Holsteins.

But when you find a mixed, or mongrel, breed you find that their owners place a lesser value upon them and that they bring a lesser price at the market place.

They are mongrels and are rated as such. They can produce nothing but other mongrels.

A few days ago, I was walking through a pasture where a herd of cattle was grazing and there jumped up in front of me a fine covey of quail.

I don't know how long quail have been in this country, but that covey was of a pure breed. They had never mixed with any other type of bird life.

And then again, I kicked up a few turtle doves and I stopped and watched them. They have never yet "race mixed" with any other type of bird.

Neither the quail nor the doves were of a mongrel breed.

And later on, I saw some crows feeding in a field and I stopped and watched them. Even a dumb old crow has better sense than to race mix.

But let's look at some of the antics of the mongrel races during the past few days.

There is before me a daily newspaper. The headline reads as follows:

"Street Gang Executes Youth On School Steps"

The dateline is New York and the story is by the Associated Press.

The first two paragraphs of this story read:

"Eight youthful members of a street gang, uniformed in trench coats, ambushed a 17-year-old boy Monday and shot him down on the steps of his Bronx high school. The victim died of a bullet in the chest."

"The manner in which the gang operated gave the slaying all the earmarks of a carefully planned execution."

The victim was a Puerto Rican youth 16 years of age.

The actual slayer was another Puerto Rican by the name of Edward Peres.

The police quoted the killer as saying:

"We couldn't take it from these guys. We waited a long time. When they came out the fight started. Everybody was belting everybody and our gang kept yelling, 'Burn 'em, burn em.' I kept hearing them yell—so I pulled the gun out and let it go."

"They were still yelling burn 'em' when I fired. Then, I don't know, I got sick. I was scared. I ran and got the hell out of there."

The youth who was killed belonged to a gang known as the "Valiant Crowns" and he had a record as a juvenile delinquent.

The killer was a member of the gang known as the "Royal Knights".

Seven other Puerto Ricans, who were with the killer, have been arrested.

Now, the SUNDAY NEWS, published in New York, carried a story on September 13th about the nation's capital.

The SUNDAY NEWS says that as alarming as the situation in New York is that it is even more frightening in Washington.

In comparing the two cities, they say:

"As alarming as New York City's juvenile crime problem is, the situation in the capital is even more frightening. Here, rumbles between teen gangs are almost unknown. Instead, the city's hoodlums prey on defenseless, law-abiding citizens."

And these "hoodlums" are Negroes.

The situation in Washington has gotten so bad until Congress had to take note. It took the savage beating of a 27-year-old policeman to stir Congress up.

The patrolman was named William Maginnis.

Of this attack, the SUNDAY NEWS further said:

"Maginnis, who is white, was making a routine disorderly conduct arrest in a predominantly Negro neighborhood when his prisoner suddenly hit him in the face. Before he could recover, four other Negroes closed in on him."

"One brought a four-foot length of two-by-four crashing down on the cop's head, dropping him into the street. The hoodlums stomped him and took his nightstick and revolver."

"Maginnis, whose face was pounded almost to a pulp, spent two weeks in the hospital. He still is unable to return to duty."

"There were at least 1,500 people milling around when he was knocked all over the lot," said one of his precinct sergeants, "and we couldn't come up with even one eyewitness."

Tame By Comparison

"The precinct where Maginnis was ganged—called "Broadway" because of its gin mills, garish cafes and night-long crowds—makes the unruliest neighborhood in New York seem almost quiet by comparison."

Fifteen hundred Negroes stood and watched this white policeman beaten to a pulp. Not a single one of them made an effort to help him.

Now, this is in a neighborhood where President Eisenhower has decreed race mixing and where, in sight of the nation's capitol, the federal government is trying to pour the whites and Negroes into a melting pot.

This is what happens when it is tried.
