Rockefeller Plans to Control the Beef as He Does the Oil Business.
Long-horned western cattle are to join the long procession of things that pay tribute to John D. Rockefeller as master. The Standard oil magnate is forming a trust, the aim of which is to control the cattle business. Geo. B. Loving of Fort Worth has gone to New York where, says he, he will close with Rockefeller a deal that will make the combination the master of the Texas cattle business. Loving says that he has been at work on options on the fifty plan cattle ranches for a year and has the start in business with more than a million cattle.
