ARRIVAL FROM GRAVELLY FORD—A family now encamped in this city have in their possession some articles found near the scene of the Gravelly Ford massacre, they being present when the bodies of the twelve murdered persons were found and buried. A lady of the family we speak of, said that the old lady who was murdered was quite a large woman—would have weighed about 200 pounds. A little girl, some eight years of age, she described as very handsome: "She lay with her head up the stream where the clear water rippled over her face, and with her dark hair smoothly parted, looked as though asleep. She was as sweet a child as ever I saw."
