Marcus Alexis Appointed To NAACP Advisory Post

Carl L. Weschcke, President of the Minnesota Conference of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, today announced the appointment of Marcus Alexis as College Advisor for the State of Minnesota.

Dr. Alexis, who resides at 209 MacAlester Street in Saint Paul, holds a Ph. D. from the Minnesota U and teaches Economics at MacAlester College.

Dr. Alexis will act directly to encourage youths of various minority groups to seek college and graduate school education, will advise high school students on scholarship aid, and will work toward an understanding of the NAACP and the need for its program among college students and faculty.
