Everything Ready For Jury Cases By Monday
Judge Steele made a rapid call of the calendar this morning and expressed satisfaction that the cases were for the greater part all ready for trial. A few odds and ends of motions and demurrers still remain to be disposed of, but everything will be in first class condition for the opening of the trial calendar next Monday.
Counting out the suits dismissed and put over for the term the trial calendar will still have from 20 to 25 cases which will have to go to the jury, a work which the court thinks will occupy about six weeks. Several motions were heard and demurrers overruled this morning and several have been set down for hearing this afternoon.
