We learn from Albany, that the Convention have at last arrived at a stage of their proceedings, when there is some prospect of an adjournment at no distant day. Indeed the general opinion at Albany is, that the session will be concluded on Friday or Saturday of this week: but we doubt whether this news is not too good to be true. On Friday the Convention concluded all their business in committee of the whole; and on Saturday they were to commence a revision of all their labors in Convention. This must be a work of considerable time; for although the members, as well as the public, are wearied with the protracted, and at times apparently never ending debates yet there are several subjects which will not be finally passed upon without strong efforts at material alterations. The Elective Franchise, the Governor's term of service: and the Appointing Power; will each be discussed over again.
