Twelve five-ton government automobile trucks, on their way from New York City to Fort Ethan Allen, have been stalled between Chimney Point and Addison corners in Vergennes since last Friday, on account of the bad condition of the roads. They have received orders to proceed to-morrow. The party consists of four officers, 12 drivers and two mechanics, who have been sleeping in tents. The party consists of western boys, one of them being from Seattle, Wash. Sunday the Vergennes chapter of the D. A. R. entertained them at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Clark.
