LONDON
Whitehall, April 21. Sunday morning the 19th inst. arrived Capt. Ellis, of the Dorsetshire, and Capt. Rook, Aid de Camp to Major General Hodgson, with letters from Commodore Keppel and General Hodgson, to the Right Hon. Mr. Secretary PITT, of the 12th and 13th inst. which give an account, that on the 8th they had attempted to land part of the troops under General Hodgson's command, at Lorient bay, but that it had been thought proper to desist from that attack. Farther accounts are shortly expected.
