The Governor.—The result of the late Gubernatorial election is not positively known. The Banner which should have come to hand on last Thursday, did not arrive; and consequently we know no more than we did on our last publication day, except that the whigs claim the election of Wilson, but upon what grounds more than their hopes, we cannot conjecture. We believe that Roane is elected. Next week, it will be known without further conjecture.
Since the above was in type, the Alert has arrived, and brings intelligence of the election of Col. Roane. It is reported that his majority is 75 or 100.
