The K. of P. hall was crowded yesterday afternoon, with the society ladies of Florence.
The occasion being the "Hen" party given by St. Alban's guild. To say that everyone present enjoyed themselves is a very mild way of expressing what was one of the most enjoyable parties ever given in Florence.

It was surprising what an amount of talent in needle work the ladies exhibited and the varied conceptions they had as to the figure of a hen.
Mrs. Hadley Jr., took the prize, her hen being almost true to life.
The judges were Mrs. Dr. Williamson, Rockvale. Mrs. Morris, Bear Gulch and Mrs. George Nix. Canon City.

Among the out of town visitors, in addition to the judges were Mrs. Tyrell of Denver and Mrs. Lines of Canon City. Elegant refreshments were served and all present expressed the wish that the Guild would give a number of similar entertainments in the near future.
