James S. Brown.--Yesterday morning we were pleased to take by the hand, Mr. James S. Brown, principal of the State Institution at this place for the Deaf, the Dumb and the Blind. His health is entirely restored, and the Institution will be re-opened in a few days. During the past few months, many applications have been made for admission into the Institution.--The late U. S. Census, gives no adequate idea, of the number of this class of unfortunates within the limits of our state. When the magnificent building, on the Southern limit of this city shall have been completed, Louisiana will be as well provided, for the education of this class of her citizens, as any State in the Union.
