GEN. MINA'S EXPEDITION.

A letter from a French gentleman, dated Port-au-Prince, Oct. 25, 1816, says, "We are ready to sail for Mexico. Our brave General (Mina) has furnished us with every thing wanted for the material of our force which consists of one frigate, two armed schooners; with one regiment of artillery two of infantry, and one of cavalry, all in the best spirits. The old Spaniards have only in the Gulphs one or two crazy Frigates, and a few little guarda costas, almost always riding safe at anchor in some welcome port or bay."
