FRIDAY, June 8.

In the House for the choice of a Senator to Congress, the whole number of votes were—

Sent up to the Senate for concurrence where it is presumed the votes will be 20 and 20.

IN SENATE—June 8.

Hon. Messrs. Dana and Starkweather were chosen a committee to inquire what public business ought to be done the present session of the Legislature, and when they may have a recess. Messrs. Foster, Ives and Mann, of the house, were joined.

The honorable Mr. Ashmun, a federalist, offered a Resolution for the purpose of raising the Governor's Salary—committed.
