Yesterday at 11 o'clock, his Excellency M. Changuion, landed at India street from the barge of the Ajax. On leaving the ship she fired a salute; and on landing he was welcomed by the committee of the citizens of this metropolis, by the cheerings of the numerous spectators, a salute from the Washington artillery under capt. Thaxter, and by the Military companies with presented arms and appropriate music. A procession was then formed, and moved through Custom House street, Broad street, Milk street, Kilby street, State street, Cornhill, School street, Tremont street, and Court street to Hanover street to the residence of the Honorable John C. Jones, Esq. During the moving of the Procession, the welcome Envoy was greeted at short intervals by huzzas of the citizens.-- The vessels in the harbor hoisted their flags, and several of the streets were decorated with colors, among which the Dutch was conspicuous. This tribute of respect formed one of those happy cases in which all parties cordially united.
