His Presidential Residence Now Marked by a Tablet.
Albany, N. Y., May 1.-The Mary Washington Colonial Chapter of the Daughters of the Grand Army of the Republic celebrated the 110th anniversary of the inauguration of George Washington as first President of the United States, by unveiling a tablet to mark the presidential residence of George Washington at No. 1 Cherry street, which site is now occupied by one of the stone pillars of the New York and Brooklyn bridge.
The tablet is bronze and measures 20 by 20 inches, having on it in red letters a suitable inscription.
